It's all found imagery. I've developed a technique over the past few years that involves taking bits of photographs and meshing them in many different ways to form a hopefully cohesive single image. I do a lot of translucent skin layering to mesh many images into a new texture. Parts of the background in this one is actually the result of a burned surface of a negative from the WW2 era.
Yep that's awesome. Have you heard of that band THE KNIFE yet Aeron? You probably have and me bringing that up will only serve to make me look like the out of touch dork that I am. Their videos are great though. The music is sort of cool, but the live videos, the animated deals, are awesome.
Yeah, I love The Knife. I became a fan as soon as I saw this video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZatCZ1YWQeI and Silent Shout was one of my favorite albums of the past year. I've actually got a dvd rip of one of their live shows that I haven't watched yet, I need to. I was wanting to see themjavascript:void(0) live during their past tour but I don't think they played anywhere near me.
Aeron Alfrey creates unique imagery inspired by the macabre, grotesque and monstrous. His art has been published in numerous books and shown in galleries around the world.
I'm available for commissioned art. For details concerning this or if you'd like to purchase any art from this blog you can contact me at evilenergy@yahoo.com

what are the elements that you use to make these up? i mean, are there any sculptures involved? is it all found imagery?
